Pancreatitis aguda: diagnóstico y manejo

Abstract

La pancreatitis aguda constituye un problema médico, ya que se desconocen aún mecanismos etiopatogénicos de esta enfermedad, su fisiopatología es compleja, con repercusión multisistémica, y el pronóstico, a veces, sombrío, más aún cuando no existen pautas terapéuticas universalmente válidas. En este trabajo se revisan algunos conceptos etiopatogénicos, diagnósticos y pronósticos.

Acute pancreatitis is a clinical problem. Many of the etiopathogenic mechanism are not clear and its pathophysiology is very complex. With multisystemic implications. The outcome may be severe, and there is no general agreement on the therapeutic approach. In this paper we review the neeweest etiopathogenic and physiopathologic concepts on acute pancreatitis as well as the diagnostic criteria and implications prognostic on this condition.
